Barcode+QRcode Scanner

Customer Help & Support Center

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I scan a code?

Open the app and tap the large circular "TAP TO SCAN" button on the dashboard. Align the QR code or barcode inside the highlighted square frame on the screen. The camera will automatically detect, focus, and scan the code. Alternatively, tap "Scan Photo" on the dashboard to upload and scan an image directly from your device's photo library.

How do I generate my own QR code or barcode?

Navigate to the "Create" tab. Select whether you want to generate a QR Code or a Barcode. If QR Code is selected, choose a template (URL, Wi-Fi configuration, Contact Card, Email, Phone, SMS, or Plain Text) and fill out the fields. Customize your design by picking custom foreground and background colors. You can then tap "Save Image" to export it to your photos or "Share" to send it directly via other apps.

How does Wi-Fi network scanning work?

When you scan a QR code formatted with Wi-Fi network configurations, the app parses the SSID, encryption type, and password. It will display a dedicated "Connect to Network" button. Tapping this button uses iOS's secure `NetworkExtension` API to connect your device directly to the Wi-Fi network without requiring you to copy and paste the password manually.

Why does the app request camera and photo library permissions?

Camera permission is required to stream live video for scanning codes. Photo Library permission is optional and only used when you select "Scan Photo" to import a code image or when you tap "Save Image" to write a generated code back to your photo stream. The app runs fully offline; no camera streams or photos are sent to external servers.

How is my scan history managed?

All scanned and created items are saved locally on your device using Core Data storage. You can access them at any time in the "History" tab. Swipe left on any item to mark it as a Favorite or to delete it. You can also permanently clear your entire database in the app Settings.
